My Favorite Tutorials and a bit of my own mess :)

I'm afraid this is going to be a 'ooooh look what I made' post... but I also want to share two awesome tutorials I found online that I followed and that I am thoroughly delighted with... I can't possibly keep those to myself :)

1. Floor Cushions

This was my VERY first fabric I bought! That was 1 year ago and only now I had the chance to sew something for myself from it...

Fantastic tutorial from Susan @ Living with Punks.
I kind of got carried away, because they make awesome gifts!! And they are done in about 2 hours, even with making your own piping!!

Kawaii Fabric

IKEA fabric

A selection...

And 2 more in plain colors.

2. The next tutorial shows how to make the sweetest thing I have ever seen and made!!
See for yourself what I found here. I tried to find the crafter's name but couldn't find it - anyway, she's awesome!

I can't get over the cuteness of those :))
Working on a size 7 now :)) (I wish!)

I made the buttons myself too - couldn't find any that worked for me.
You can never be too young to start a shoe collection.

 3. Baby gift parade:

Here are some of my own sewing projects:

Tiny Baby Quilt

Cover for the Medical Record Book

They are quite large here in Austria and need to last 6 years!

A little pocket for the health-card
Below: two more versions...

Baby cube
(before sewing together :)

My Charity Project for 2012

This bear is a mascot for an organization that helps kids with enuresis.
I agreed to supply them with little 'worry pillows' featuring 'Henri' the bear.
The little pocket at the back gives the kids the chance to write down their worries
and forget about them for a while when they are 'resting' in the pocket.

Letter Pillow

This is my first attempt at a letter pillow.
I should have chosen a letter with less angles :))

I have seen those at Irina's blog 'Sew and the City' and it was love at first sight!

I love blogland!! It is full of inspiration, full of creativity, full of knowledge and full of fun!
Thank you fellow bloggers for sharing your ideas and your tricks - its worth millions to me!

Enjoy,
